Privacy Policy for Vue Monster

Welcome to vue.monster. If you are browsing around here, you probably want to know how your information gets handled when you read articles, check out tutorials, or click links. I totally get it. Legal pages are boring, but keeping things transparent is necessary.

This privacy policy explains what information gets collected when you use this site. If you keep reading, you agree to this setup. If not, no worries at all, but you might want to close out of the tab.

Who I Am and What This Site Is

This blog lives at https://www.vue.monster/ and is run by me, Sidan. It is a space dedicated to web development, coding, tech concepts, and digital projects. When I say we or I in this policy, I mean me running this whole site.

What Information Gets Collected

I am not trying to track your personal life or harvest data. However, standard websites require a bit of automated tracking to function correctly. Here is what gets gathered:

  • Log Data: Servers automatically log basic technical information when you visit. This includes your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, timestamps, and the specific pages you look at.
  • Cookies: Small files saved on your device. They help the site run properly and allow analytics tools to measure traffic patterns and popular pages.
  • Direct Messages: If you reach out to me directly via email or WhatsApp, I get your contact details and whatever you wrote. I only use that information to reply to you.

How Cookies and Tracking Work

Cookies help the site run smoothly. Analytics tools use them to track visitor stats, showing which technical guides or posts people actually find useful.

You can turn off cookies anytime through your browser settings. Keep in mind that blocking them completely might make certain elements of the site act a bit strange.

Third-Party Ads and Affiliates

Ads help cover hosting costs and keep the site running. This means third-party vendors and ad networks, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits here or other websites across the internet.

Google uses advertising cookies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Ad networks might also collect anonymous data to see what ads perform best. I do not control their cookies, so check their individual privacy policies for deep technical details.

How Your Information Gets Used

Data collection serves a few simple purposes:

  • Keeping the website secure and functional.
  • Figuring out which tech topics and articles people actually read.
  • Serving relevant ads to support the site.
  • Responding to direct questions or feedback.

Your data is never sold to third-party data brokers. That is a terrible practice, and I am not doing it.

Third-Party Links

Sometimes I link out to external documentation, GitHub repositories, tools, or other websites. Once you click those links and leave vue.monster, I have zero control over their practices. Make sure to read their respective privacy policies.

Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed at kids under thirteen. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone that young.

Updates to This Policy

Technology changes, and legal requirements shift over time. This privacy policy might get updated occasionally. When it changes, the date at the bottom will reflect the update.

How to Contact Me

If you have questions about this privacy policy or anything on the site, reach out directly through the contact page or email me.
